Birds of Aotearoa is a series ongoing I have been painting for the last couple of years. I have painted a few of our iconic native birds and completed several commissions for people wanting specific birds.
Completed paintings include the mighty Kākā, Kōkako and Saddleback (tīeke), plus the Bellbird (kōmako), Shining Cuckoo (pīpīwharauroa), Kākāriki (green parakeet) & Huia (extinct). Commissions have included a tiny blue Penguin (kororā), Rock Wren (pīwauwau) and a beloved pet Duck. I am working on the Kererū and Kārearea (Native Falcon). See more.
